YOUR WEDDING DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Kalli Siamidou
Dance Instructor | Choreographer
Owner of Wedding Dance Vows
Co-Founder of Cucala Dance Company

I am a NYC based dancer, choreographer, and instructor. I was born and raised in Greece and started dancing at a very young age. My dad is a prominent folk musician and I started dancing to his music before I could walk. My love of dance grew out of the Greek folk dancing that is deeply rooted in my soul and has led me to develop an extensive background in many styles of dance- ballroom, salsa, hip hop, street jazz, contemporary, ballet, improvisation, and modern techniques. I use my knowledge of dance to create a unique experience for each individual couple on their first dance journey together. I focus on making the movement look and feel natural, and work on staying in the present moment, both throughout the process and to help calm any nerves on the big day. My favorite part of the first dance process is teaching my clients to communicate and support each other through dance. This dance is an expression of the couple’s love for each other, and it’s important for me to teach my clients to express their love through the movement of their choreography. Through the first dance we create together, the couple will dance their vows to each other and share their story through movement.
